"Spearfish Falls" ~ I got tired of writing about my past so much, that I turned to capturing my present. Poetry and prose locked away, till some other beautiful day. My muse and my love, still awaiting our fate! (Spearfish Falls, South Dakota)
"Deadwood" ~ In 1876 the streets of Deadwood, South Dakota, would've been filled with gamblers, booze hounds, prostitution, guns, and outlaws. Fast forward to 2023 and much of it still remains the same, however, for a grungy boy and his leopard colored dog, they strutted into town that evening seeking a warm room and four walls to call their own. (Deadwood, South Dakota)
"West Bethany Church" ~ Built in 1905, the West Bethany Church in De Smet, South Dakota, remains a well kept relic of the past. (De Smet, South Dakota)
"Dying Bloom" ~ I love this capture, as the dying sunflowers represent a change in the seasons. (Route 14 ~ South Dakota)
"Rusted Agriculture" ~ Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes! Also the land of abandoned homesteads. (Minnesota)
"Sunrise Arch" ~ Gateway arch in St. Louis, Missouri, stands tall, as first light makes its way into the Lou. (St. Louis, Missouri)
"Abandoned in Michigan" ~ An abandoned home sits lost and found, among autumn colors and bright blue skis. (Michigan)
"Potato Falls" ~ Wisconsin, home to cheese curds, brats, beers, andddddddd waterfalls. (Gurney, Wisconsin)
"Chapel Beach"~ Autumn in Michigan? Who knew it! It was if Vermont had sex with the Caribbean and spawned Chapel Beach. Yet here I was, standing on the shores pf Lake Superior. (Pictured Rocks National Seashore, Michigan)
"Bleeding Orange" ~ This cemetery caught my eye, during an early morning drive through Kent, Ohio. Maybe it was the relic building adorned, in a mint green ivy. Maybe it was the flashes of oranges and reds, bleeding out from the surrounding trees. Or maybe Edward Herman, from Company A of the 22nd PA Volunteer Calvary, Civil War Veteran, somehow ushered me in, as he rested peacefully beneath my feet. (Kent, Ohio)
"The Flag Was There" ~ Somewhere along the empty roads of North Dakota, I passed this barn with an American flag draped over it. The skis really make this photo pop don't you think? (North Dakota)
