Jersey Shore Photography
My roots began here, in 1980, in the Garden State of New Jersey. I endured many trials and tribulations along the Atlantic Ocean, but they all led me to my present home. My home which now resides amongst the peaks and valleys of Montana. "Sunrise in New Jersey" ~ Sunrise in New Jersey! I've seen my fair share of them. Luckily the weather was still conducive to shorts and a sweatshirt, because I've spent some very early mornings along the ocean with frozen fingers. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Don't Look Back" ~ While I don't know what tomorrow will bring, I do know what today has presented me. I took the chance, and have never looked back. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Casino Pier" ~ Prior to hurricane Sandy in 2012, the amusement pier in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, extended into the sea. Nature would soon reclaim what was rightly hers during the destructive storm. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Sunrise Seaside" ~ The sun greets the now rebuilt Casino Pier, in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Jersey Shore" ~ When I tell people I’m from the Jersey Shore, their first response is normally, “you don’t sound like it!” Thanks MTV! (Seaside Height, New Jersey)
"Ice Cream" ~ Hot summer days, salt filled air, and the smell of sugary confections tempting even the oldest of souls. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Pizza Time" ~ One of the few things I miss about the East coast, the Pizza. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Jersey Shore" ~ Yes I'm from the Jersey shore! No, I don't go to the gym! No, I don't go tanning! Yes, I sometimes do laundry, but only when the pile gets too big. Also it's pronounced sauce, not gravy! (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Roots" ~ My roots will always begin along the Atlantic Ocean, but now they extend 2200 miles to the west. It's been fun visiting the Jersey shore, but I can't wait to get back home. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Fisherman Red" ~ The silhouette of a lone fisherman begins his day with the solace and beauty of nature. (Seaside Heights, New Jersey)
"Reflections" ~Everything outside of us is a mirror and deep underneath I still feel unworthy, unworthy of love, unworthy of a conscious/fulfilling relationship, unworthy of being chosen. How do I know this? It's being reflected back to me in subtle ways. Ways I'm aware of, but ways I continue to burn myself on. (Mantoloking, New Jersey)
"Love Letter" ~ I write of a girl, who's healing inside, searching for a boy, whose worlds will collide. The sun rises up, to greet a new day, to melt away their fears, and carry them away. (Bay Head, New Jersey)
"Dawns Glow" ~ "Wrap me in your arms" she said, as dawn began to glow. (Mantoloking, New Jersey)
"Adieu" ~ I recently wrote about those loud voices that try to take me down, but I also hear those quiet whispers that tell me to keep going. Many of us are afraid to slow down (I was for a long time) but the only way you'll ever hear those quiet whispers is by doing so. New Jersey you were good to me, but for now I must bid you adieu. (Belmar, New Jersey)
"Fuel for my Thoughts" ~ This alcohol, fuel for my thoughts. Liquid poison for my anxiety to drink up. 0-100 my mind races. Am I destined to be along, or will I ever meet my elusive fantasy. What do others appear to have, that I don't? This town suffocates me to the point I'm barely breathing. I want a way out. I know a way out. Why can't I just get out? (Mantoloking, New Jersey)
"Musing at Sunrise" ~ What's insignificant to one, may not be so insignificant to another. We're all shaped by our experiences in life, and as much as we try to ignore those moments that hurt us, deep underneath they leave their mark. (Bay Head, New Jersey)
"Silent Seas" ~ This planet is amazing, and if/when you're finally ready to let in the silence, you'll most likely hear everything you've ever wanted to hear. All the beautiful moments we seek, are right here in front of us all. (Mantoloking, New Jersey)
"Oh Christmas Tree" ~ A Christmas wish from me to you, may your day be sweet, and your dreams come true. (Bay Head, New Jersey)
"Inhale" ~ These leaves fall, into a meandering river. The sun descends, behind a backdrop of trees. Autumn breezes blow, cracking branches and twigs. Birds tweet, their closing set. Close your eyes, inhale ... (Allaire State Park, Wall, New Jersey)
"Autumn Tune" ~ The sun descended in the forest, as I welcomed New Jersey into my presence. No longer having to worry about a grizzly bear ripping my face off, I was able to remain present to my surroundings. The leaves fell graciously, as an ever so familiar autumn, hummed her gentle tune. (Hope, New Jersey)
