A lone coyote walked along the frozen landscape of Moran, Wyoming. Most likely searching for an early breakfast. He was off to my left in the valley below. A pack of sled dogs  howled, as freezing temperatures greeted their awakening. Off in the distance, the Teton mountain range begins to light up, as the sun ascends from her daily rotation. Wintertime in the West! (Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming)

I waited, not nearly as long as I should have, for the train to pass me by. Unlike the jerk-offs who pass me in my tractor as they approach a blind corner going up and down the mountain, I exhibited a small amount of patience. The problem with freight trains, you never know how long they’ll be idling for. So I waited, for 20 minutes, then decided to move along. A cool capture for sure, but an even better one awaits. (Townsend, Montana)

New York City’s Grand Central Terminal and Helena’s Northern Pacific Depot in Montana were designed by the same architect, Charles A. Reed. As I lurked around the rail yard, I was lucky enough to catch an engine, as it pulled into the station. 120 years of history, captured, in just a short period of time. (Helena, Montana)
