"America the Beautiful" ~ This shot was captured in Hazelton, Idaho. Yes, the flag was already draped over the now abandoned schoolhouse. Rustic Americana at its best! (Hazelton, Idaho)
"Soldiers Chapel" ~ Soldiers chapel stands guard over Lone Peak in Big Sky, Montana during a blood orange sunset in July of 2022. (Big Sky, Montana)
"This Old Tractor" ~ My original plan was to travel the 440 mile stretch of route 14 through South Dakota. I missed my turn. OOPS! So here's a country capture from the first 224 miles of it near De Smet, South Dakota.
"Hope" ~ Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and a desire for a certain thing to happen. I don't hope, I don't expect, I just continue to do. (Hope, New Jersey)
"The Flag Was There" ~ Somewhere along the empty roads of North Dakota, I passed this barn with an American flag draped over it. The skis really make this photo pop don't you think? (North Dakota)
"This Old Barn" ~ Shortly after taking this shot, I almost got my truck stuck in the mud. I turned my truck to four wheel low and eventually got myself out. The deer were no doubt laughing at me, as they looked on from just up the hill. (Tetonia, Idaho)
"Misty Mountain Morning" ~I awoke to a chilly morning, as a slight layer of fog engulfed this abandoned farmhouse in northwest Montana. My eyes are always open, seeking that next photogenic capture.
"Fraternity Hall" ~ The things these old walls have seen. (Elkhorn, Montana)
"Lincoln Mercantile" ~ A late August sunset in Lincoln, Montana. (Lincoln, Montana)
"American Sky" ~ Captured just outside Custer State Park in South Dakota, I had originally passed this rustic American truck by, but as is normally the case, something internally told me to turn around and photograph the scene. (Hermosa, South Dakota)
"Gateway Arch" ~ The St. Louis arch represents the gateway to the west, and for me personally, it represents an exhalation. A deep sigh of relief, as the noose of the American East loosens its stranglehold. (St. Louis, Missouri)
"Where the Buffalo Roam" ~ Traveling through Custer State Park in South Dakota, I came across this American bison sign. Strength, pride, and creation summed up in one capture. (Custer State Park, South Dakota)
"This Old America Truck" ~ Someone had asked me if I had any American flag captures in Townsend, Montana. I didn't then, but I do now. (Townsend, Montana)
"Days Passed By" ~ What's the real story behind this old barn? Who used it and for what? I love daydreaming about days passed by. (Drummond, Montana)
"This Old Truck" ~ Gone, but not forgotten. (Livingston, Montana)
"This Old Car" ~ Who drove this? Did lovers share their first kiss in the backseat? Did father drive into the city daily to provide for his family? Only a few know the tale. (Elkhorn, Montana)
